The Georgia Center of Innovation: Areas of Expertise

The Georgia Center of Innovation exists to help the state’s businesses clear the path to innovation and growth. We aim to make the process easy by providing expert advice and thoughtful navigation to the best information and tools available. 

The Center welcomes the opportunity to work with all business types in any stage of development—from getting off the ground to taking operations to a new level—and also offers laser-focused expertise in six strategic industries: Aerospace, AgTech, Energy Technology, Information Technology, Logistics, and Manufacturing.

Georgia’s aerospace companies work with the Center to help them with supply chains to ensure their products have been Georgia’s number one export since 2004. Our team’s work in this sector is focused on building a strong ecosystem for companies to be successful, as well as create connections to resources to help them better demonstrate their technology. In the AgTech space, Georgia is home to many Controlled Environment Agriculture companies such as Pure Flavor, Kalera, Pete’s, and Better Fresh Farms to name a few, and cutting-edge research regarding the latest growing techniques, lighting systems, and process automation for CEA is happening at our universities. The Energy Technology sector has made the state a leader in areas like solar electric mobility. More than 300 companies produce electronic health records in the state, and the Center’s Information Technology team is positioned to help  them innovate revenue cycles. Logistics is the backbone behind the Center’s work, and the 2022 Georgia Logistics Summit explored the digitization of everything.
