Collaborating to Advance Energy R&D

Georgia advances next-gen energy and transportation technology through public-private partnerships and cutting-edge research. Living laboratories like Curiosity Lab and The Ray test real-world solutions, while research institutions including Georgia Tech and industry partners drive breakthroughs in batteries, semiconductors, and solar.

Energy storage remains a cornerstone of Georgia’s clean energy future, ensuring renewable power is reliable, scalable, and available when needed. Initiatives like Hyundai’s Clean Logistics Project and zero-emission fuel production facilities support a fully integrated, carbon-conscious energy ecosystem.

Energy Efficiency & Smart Consumption

Georgia works with businesses to advance energy efficiency, adopt alternative fuels, and develop smart consumption strategies that reduce costs and improve resilience. By localizing energy resources and promoting sustainable practices, companies can leverage the tools we provide to reduce their carbon footprint and use energy more intelligently. Twelve percent of our state’s current energy mix comes from renewables and 34% from carbon-neutral sources, including Plant Vogtle and Plant Hatch.

Recycling & Sustainability

Recycling and sustainability are interwoven in Georgia’s energy ecosystem. We connect businesses to statewide resources that can turn post-consumer materials into valuable assets, from converting waste plastics into high-grade fuels to large-scale recycling of glass and aluminum.

Advanced mobility in Georgia

Next-gen vehicles are rolling off the line at Kia Georgia and Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA). Building on the strength of its automotive industry, Georgia is emerging as a national leader in electric and hybrid vehicle manufacturing. From vehicle assembly to advanced battery and materials production, Georgia offers a growing, end-to-end advanced mobility supply chain spanning the state.
