Sandy Lake, CSCP - Director of Logistics
Sandy Lake is the Director of the Center of Innovation Logistics team at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. In this role, she helps companies leverage the state’s world-class logistics industry, to improve supply chain efficiencies, support business growth, and increase global competitiveness. Sandy leads the Center’s effort to connect the logistics industry with Georgia’s top technology experts, who help assist companies with determining where to invest in and deploy technology to strategically enhance their competitiveness. She also cultivates key relationships with industry leaders, logistics education and research partners, and supply chain/logistics professionals to advance leading edge innovation.
Sandy is a Certified Supply Chain Professional and serves on advisory boards for Georgia Tech’s Supply Chain and Logistics Institute, the University of North Georgia, and the Georgia Industrial Systems and Industrial Robotics Advisory Board for Ogeechee Technical College. She also chairs the Center of Innovation – Industry Advisory Board.
Tess Leyshock – Sr. Industry Engagement Manager
As Senior Industry Engagement Manager for the Center of Innovation Logistics team, Tess Leyshock provides advice and counsel on logistics matters, coordinates industry connections, and serves as a bridge between project owners and the resources they need to succeed. She supports a wide range of initiatives for both public and private sector stakeholders, offering project management expertise and facilitating partnerships that strengthen Georgia’s logistics ecosystem.
Tess brings more than 15 years of experience in logistics and business management. She served as Logistics Manager at a marine manufacturing company for over a decade before founding a consulting firm that provided business management services for a range of clients. Among them was a superyacht interior design company, where she oversaw operations and logistics as Business Director. She also co-founded and managed a third-party logistics firm specializing in high-end yacht furnishings and international shipping to shipyards and boat shows around the world.
Holding a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) credential, Tess brings an advanced understanding of trade regulations and international logistics that further strengthens her industry insight and ability to support Georgia’s logistics community.
She is skilled in project leadership, relationship building, and translating complex logistics needs into actionable strategies. Tess holds an MBA from Savannah State University and a BFA in Film & Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Muosa Sheikh - Industry Engagement Manager
As Industry Engagement Manager for the Center of Innovation’s Logistics team, Muosa Sheikh provides strategic support to companies across Georgia by advising on logistics challenges, facilitating industry connections, and aligning project owners with the resources needed to drive success. He works closely with public and private stakeholders to advance statewide logistics initiatives and strengthen Georgia’s position as a global logistics hub.
Muosa brings nearly a decade of applied experience in logistics, supply chain operations, and industry engagement, with a background that includes distribution, transportation, warehousing, and international logistics. His hands-on operational background equips him to translate complex supply chain needs into clear, actionable solutions for Georgia businesses.
He holds a Master of Science in Supply Chain Analytics and is currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration in International Business at Clayton State University, where he has also contributed to community and academic programs supporting workforce development and regional economic growth.
