Sustainability and Energy Efficiency in Georgia

Alternate Energy and Sustainability

Energy is a key component in a society’s move surrounding economic activity and growth. Energy is generated for use in one way or another but has an environmental impact on our air, water, and land.

Harnessing and creating energy at a pace that meets the world’s growing needs is nearly impossible without an eye on improving how energy is consumed.

The Center of Innovation works with Georgia companies like Exide Technologies, Mitsubishi Turbines, and Siemens Energy and Automation that are advancing energy efficiency. These organizations are utilizing alternative energy technologies to lower the carbon footprint and create a sustainable ecosystem to preserve natural resources for future generations in a smarter more thoughtful way.

The Center of Innovation assists businesses in four primary ways.
  • We help organizations (public, private, and philanthropic) to advance technologies that support sustainable use of energy.
  • We work closely with Georgia’s universities to access cutting-edge energy research partnerships. The Center for Innovative Fuel Cell and Battery Technologies at Georgia Tech is working on ultra-low emission vehicles.
  • We navigate companies through the state’s energy ecosystem, from physical locations to strategic industry partnerships.
  • We connect companies with complementary technologies.
