Georgia Consular Offices
Georgia is home to 73 governments from around the world through consular offices and/or trade representation primarily located in metro Atlanta. These offices help develop economic, commercial, scientific and cultural relations between the foreign governments they represent and the southeastern U.S. Consular offices safeguard the interests of their native country or territory and its citizens traveling or residing in their district. Additionally, they issue and renew passports and other official documents, help travelers in distress, sign death certificates, legalize or deliver official documents, and assist travelers in-need of support with local law enforcement or immigration authorities.
Approximately 25 foreign governments have operations in Georgia to promote trade between their countries and the state. In some cases, the trade promotion work is handled from within the countries' consular offices while others maintain independent trade offices. Click for a full list of Consular Offices.
