Canadian Video Games Innovator Establishes Atlanta Division

ATLANTA, February 10, 2010 —The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) announced today that TransGaming, a leading developer of enablement technologies for the electronic entertainment industry, is establishing a division in Atlanta, housing operations for the company's GameTree.tv digital home platform. The Toronto, Canada-based company will create new media technology jobs as part of its digital home business expansion.  GameTree.tv (www.gametree.tv) demand games platform that will provide consumers with constant access to a broad range of video games through their connected consumer electronic devices. The company also recently announced Blake Lewin as president of TransGaming's GameTree.tv digital home division.  Lewin, former vice president of Media & Entertainment at Turner Broadcasting, is credited in the video gaming industry as the creator of GameTap, a first-of-its-kind broadband entertainment network.  In his new position, Lewin will lead the GameTree.tv growth strategy, providing leadership for the design development, and commercialization of the new on-demand games platform. TransGaming will begin hiring for the new GameTree.tv positions throughout the year, providing new opportunities for highly skilled technical talent in the region.
