Georgia Center of Innovation to Host 2022 Logistics Summit

2022 Georgia Logistics Summit

In a matter of weeks, on March 16, the Georgia Center of Innovation will return to again host in-person, the 2022 Logistics Summit in Macon, Georgia.

Held since 2009, the Logistics Summit returns this year to serve as a resource to the Georgia logistics sector by bringing back opportunities for industry professionals to gather for a day of networking and learning. And, while the 2021 Summit was a tremendous success with presenters in-person and guests viewing virtually – networking between participants is always a highly valued component of this special event.

With a variety of expert speakers from across industry – ranging from higher education institutions like Central Georgia Technical College to professionals at leading industry companies like Amazon and RaceTrac – this event will be packed with insightful conversations and presentations.

“I look forward each year to the collaboration where I can learn from my peers what they are doing to tackle today’s problems. Most all supply chains are under a tremendous amount of pressure to perform, and today more than ever we must be creative to find solutions. I see the Georgia Logistics Summit as an opportunity to help me improve the RaceTrac Supply Chain.”
– Daniel Vasseur, Executive Director – Supply Chain Merchandise, RaceTrac

  • Share what they anticipate the new skills requirements will be for their teams and how technology and automation may be utilized in both physical processes and planning

Education and Workforce
Additionally, there will be an education and workforce-focused panel: “Inside the Mind: Awakening Your Talent Search.” Attendees will hear from those producing the workforce of the future on how to effectively engage talent for recruitment and training.

Also at the Summit, the City of Macon will be featured. Attendees will be welcomed by Macon Mayor Lester Miller, and by Irving Consumer Products’ Vice President of Human Resources, Tyler Firlotte, who will share the Canadian business’s local success story and the factors that make Macon a prime community for companies with logistics priorities.
