In fact, 99,000 Georgians are employed by this industry. It's important to note that aerospace products are the number one international export from the state of Georgia producing more than $8.44 billion annually.
According to the report, Georgia led the competition is several areas including:

  • Cost: 10
  • Labor: 19
  • Infrastructure: 12
  • Industry: 4
  • Geopolitical risk: 7
  • Economy: 20
  • Tax Policy: 36

'Georgia moved up by two ranks to first place this year, mainly because of an improved ranking in the Industry category and a strong placement in the newly-added Economy category.'

Our state continues to prove itself as a leader across several industries. Thanks to the collaborative efforts from Georgia's leadership, GDEcD's Global Commerce team and the Center of Innovation for Aerospace, it is no surprise that we are leading the nation in the aerospace manufacturing industry.

'Georgia is close to space launch facilities. With these strengths, Georgia is continuing to attract investments in commercial aviation and space technology, with a focus on autonomous commercial aircraft, commercial space, and existing defense platforms.'

We are thrilled to have been ranked No. 1, once again! We work hard to make sure that all businesses and industries thrive in our state, and this ranking in a testament to these efforts.
