Sean T. Casey assumed the role of Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) Executive Director in October 2016. He leads the organization in its mission to serve individuals with disabilities on the path to career success and greater independence.
An experienced public servant committed to all Georgians, Sean previously held a role as the Department of Administrative Service’s Assistant Commissioner of Government Affairs. He has also served as the Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Revenue and worked in Governor Nathan Deal’s Office and the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget.
Sean’s service on behalf of GVRA extends back to 2012, when he led a team that worked to pass legislation making the organization independent. He remains committed to innovative strategies to maximize work opportunities for people with disabilities. Sean’s philosophy is that the client is always first, followed a close second by the counselors and field staff who serve them.
Sean is a Buffalo native but has called Atlanta home for more than two decades. He and his wife live in Marietta with their two children.
