Lapp Group opens regional office and distribution center in Gwinnett County

GWINNETT- METRO ATLANTA, October 25, 2013 – Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and Georgia Department of Economic Development joined Lapp Group to announce the opening of its regional office and distribution center in Gwinnett, metro Atlanta earlier today. Germany-based Lapp Group, which employs more than 3,000 people worldwide, celebrated the occasion with a Grand Opening, attended by both local and state representatives. The 25,000-square-foot facility will house 15 new jobs for the community and serve as a hub for Lapp Group subsidiaries serving the Southeast.
'Our decision to open a distribution center in Gwinnett County was a logical and easy choice. We needed a facility that was strategically located and would enable us to reach markets not only in the Southeastern United States, but the rest of North America as well. We believe this location will be ideal as we continue to expand in the future,' said Marc Mackin, President, Lapp Group North America.

Located at 2402 Tech Center Parkway, Suite 300, in the Lawrenceville area, Lapp Group's distribution facility will also house sales operations and a customer training center. A leading provider of products for the automotive and communications industries, Lapp Group offers a range of products extending from cable, cable accessories, cable handling systems, and cable harnessing to industrial connectors and communication technology.
