Mark Wilson

Mark has 37 years of Human Resources experience and education, including 29 years at Langdale. Founded in 1894, Langdale is a family business in forestry, wood products and diversified businesses. Langdale has 1,300 employees at 23 affiliates. Beyond corporate HR duties, Wilson represents Langdale on regional, statewide and national efforts such as health care cost control, education reform and workforce development. He is a gubernatorial appointee to the State of Georgia Workforce Development Board. Mark serves as Valdosta representative for the Great Promise Partnership, founding board member of the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia and Horizons Community Solutions, Vice Chair of Employers Like Me, Advisor for the National Business Coalition on Health, member of the Labor and Employment Committee for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and leads agriculture and forestry field trip programs and career education projects for youth and adults.
Wilson served as Facilitator for the Governor Leadership Group on Health Care, Chair of the Lowndes County Partnership for Health, Advisor for the Valdosta State University Adult Career Education Department and Valdosta Early College Academy, Chair of the Governmental Affairs Council for the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce, President of the Quitman-Brooks County Chamber of Commerce and President of the Rotary Club of Quitman, Georgia. He was a gubernatorial appointee to the Health Strategies Council as a Large Industry Representative. Mark has a bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Alabama.
