Joe recently became President of JSM Aerospace Logistics LLC a consulting enterprise he formed after retiring from HAECO Americas Airframe Services in December 2015. During the last 14 years of his 30 year career, Joe was the Director of Material Systems. During his time of service with HAECO Joe became one of the original founders of the Transportation Education Foundation of Georgia, a nonprofit organization working with the Georgia Department of Education in creating Career Pathway studies for High School students and a sponsor of the national organization SKILLS USA. Joe serves as a business representative and advisor to local Colleges, High Schools, Chambers of Commerce, and Local Government Officials. Joe has worked with the Georgia Depart of Economics Air Innovation Center serving on numerous STEM question and answer panels as an Industry representative. Joe is a USAF Vietnam era veteran and worked diligently with the Governor’s office through the Workforce Investment Board to help establish the current Hire Veterans First initiative in Georgia.
Joe remains active in his service to the community currently serving as a Governor appointed Public Official and Board Member on the State of Georgia’s Workforce Investment Board. Joe continues to support community nonprofit organizations such as The Ronald McDonald House of Macon, and serves in his place of worship as an Elder, and instrumentalist on the Praise and Worship team. Joe believes in giving his experience and expertise to helping others, as his contribution to the present and next generation.
