Tourism Regions

REGIONAL TRAVEL ASSOCIATIONS

Georgia’s Regional Travel Associations (RTAs) are volunteer organizations whose members are tourism industry partners that represent the state’s nine travel regions. Each RTA has regular meetings at which attendees share best practices, learn about trends and establish new tourism product by networking together.

The organizations work to promote the regions they represent by participating in marketing programs with the Georgia Department of Economic Development. This expands their advertising reach and provides a greater opportunity to increase visitor volume. Georgia Tourism’s Regional Tourism Project Managers and Visitor Information Center staff are RTA members and provide assistance with special events, membership recruitment and marketing efforts.
