Talent

Your company’s success depends on recruiting, training and retaining quality talent, and Georgia is committed to providing a continuous pipeline of qualified individuals.

With a population of over 10 million, Georgia is the 8th largest state in the nation with a labor force of more than 5 million. And millennials make up nearly 20% of that total.

Through the University System of Georgia’s (USG) HOPE Scholarship and Grant program, the state pays up to 100% of the cost of tuition at eligible post-secondary institutions as an incentive and reward for Georgia’s high-achieving students.

As of fall semester 2017, more than 325,000 students were enrolled in USG’s 26 colleges and universities. And more than 148,000 graduates entered the workforce that year, an increase of 12% from 2016. Today, 231,541 people hold technology/STEM occupations in Atlanta and the surrounding metro area.
