The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) ensures companies have the skilled workers needed to build and maintain a competitive advantage. The 23 colleges of the Technical College System of Georgia offer affordable education and excellent training in more than 600 certificate, diploma and two-year associate degree programs – the specialized knowledge employer’s demand. More than 28,000 TCSG students graduated with either a technical certificate of credit, diploma or associate degree in 2013.
Answering Workforce Needs Today
Responding to the needs of today’s companies is the first priority of Georgia’s technical colleges. The technical college system interacts heavily with the business community to shape the curriculum at its colleges. Between 2008 and 2013, TCSG colleges saw more 190,000 highly skilled graduates move into the workforce.
Students of all ages take advantage of low tuition, outstanding instructors, hands-on learning and state-of-the-art equipment to gain the skills needed for today’s in-demand jobs. In 2013, the TCSG colleges delivered 2.4 million credit hours of instruction to more than 151,000 students. The TCSG is online, too, serving 72,000 students through the system’s Georgia Virtual Technical Connection.
Georgia Quick Start
The Technical College System also operates Georgia Quick Start, rated as the best workforce training program in the nation. Quick Start delivers free, customized worker training, either on a college campus or on the company site, allowing even the largest business to ramp up operations and get revenues rolling without delay.
