Innovation is the key to maintaining competitiveness and the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) is committed to attracting high-technology, biotech companies and industries to locate and grow in Georgia.
The GDEcD includes a specialized Innovation and Technology Office (ITO) that can provide access to the best corporate, academic and public resources to accelerate the transformation of ideas and visions into profitable businesses.
To assist in that process we have created The Georgia Centers for Innovation web site. Learn how industry and investment come together in Georgia to build unique networking opportunities for a win-win solution.
The ITO team works with communities, companies and institutions all over the state to identify and cultivate the exceptional talent critical to keeping Georgia on the leading edge of research, product development and groundbreaking advances in science and technology.
ITO Project Managers encourage key players in the state’s broadband, bioscience, telecommunications and other science and technology industries to brainstorm and exchange ideas. The unique partnership efficiently meshes state, private industries and university resources for the benefit of innovative business.
The office also vigorously recruits new companies and supports the growth of Georgia’s existing industry. Along with other organizations like the Georgia Research Alliance, the Advanced Technology Development Center, the University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents and the Georgia Biomedical Partnership, the ITO harnesses the state’s resources and ultimately helps you achieve growth in Georgia’s science and technology industries.
