Brian Anderson

President and Chief Executive Officer, Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce
Brian Anderson is a native South Carolinian but has resided in Georgia since 1998. Brian and his wife Heather have moved to Columbus from Dalton, Georgia. They have a son, Douglas, and a daughter, Sarah Whitney.

He is a graduate of Francis Marion University with a BS in Economics. He served four years in the US Army as a Military Intelligence Officer. He spent 18 years in the beverage industry with Coca-Cola and Anheuser-Busch.

In 2004, he was elected Chairman of the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners – serving from 2005-2008.

In 2008, Anderson was selected as the President and CEO of the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce.  In 2012, he earned his Institute of Organizational Management certification from the US Chamber.

In June of 2015, Brian was hired as President & CEO of the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce.  He will also serve as First Vice Chair/ Secretary of the board of the Georgia Association of Chamber Executives (GACCE).

Anderson is a Board member of the State Workforce Development Board (appointed by Gov. Deal), a member of Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation Board, and the Columbus Rotary Club.  Brian has been honored as one of Georgia Trend Magazine's 100 Most Influential Georgians.
