Georgia Business Locations

Few states can boast of coastlines and mountain ridges within a short road trip from one another.

Add their proximity to a major, fun-filled metropolitan city and you’ve got the setting for any type of lifestyle you want to live or to provide for your employees. That’s what locating in Georgia can offer.

Like the four full seasons that enrich its climate, four distinct regions make up Georgia’s diverse topography: coast, highlands, piedmont and plains. Each is a showcase of unique beauty, year-round.

Georgia has the best roads in the nation

      • The 19th Annual Highway Report by the Reason Foundation ranked Georgia1
        - 1st for rural and urban interstate conditions
        - 9th for highway performance and cost-effectiveness
        - 31st for urban interstate congestion

  • According to the INRIX 2009 National Traffic Scorecard, Atlanta ranked 20th
when measured by how congestion adds to normal travel times (despite
being the nation’s 8th largest metro area).

  • In April 2010, the U.S. Public Interest Research Group ranked Georgia’s roads
    #1 in the country.

How do you get around on Georgia’s varied landscape?

The most prominent way is by air, and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's ranking as the world’s busiest passenger airport is testament to the state’s strategic location. Making a shorter trip? Throughout the state, 107 other public airports are available for alternate flights. For ground travel, Georgia has 1,243 miles of interstate highways, with 30 points on them served by the Greyhound bus line. If trains are your passion, Atlanta and Savannah are connected on scenic routes by Amtrak to points outside the state.
