SAT Initiative

Education is the key to building and maintaining a competitive employee base. Georgia’s commitment to education starts at the top. As part of the innovative program set forth by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, the Governor’s Cup Challenge is an initiative to help raise SAT scores across the state.

The Governor’s Cup Challenge is organized by Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class and Region assignments. By using the GHSA assignments, schools compete with similarly-sized schools within the same region of the state. Winners of the challenge are announced in the early fall after the release of SAT scores in mid-August.

Participating high schools are encouraged to implement innovative strategies that will improve student performance in general and on the new SAT. For more information, visit SATRocks.com.

For business leaders who call Georgia home, access to a highly educated workforce means looking no further than our own backyard. Georgia’s innovative programs like the Governor’s Cup Challenge help build the talent and expertise needed to take your business to the next level and beyond.
