Created by Governor Sonny Perdue in 2003, the Georgia Centers of Innovation program provides unique, technology-oriented support to existing businesses and entrepreneurs in the areas of aerospace, agribusiness, energy, life sciences, logistics and advanced manufacturing.
Each center creates an environment of growth through direct access to university and technical college applied research, commercialization resources, technology connections, matching grant funds, potential investor networks and government organizations. This public/private collaboration provides unparalleled opportunities for creating innovative, tangible technology solutions to industry-led challenges.
Supported by the OneGeorgia Authority and receiving board guidance by the University System of Georgia, Georgia Research Alliance, Technical College System of Georgia, the Intellectual Capital Partnership Program and others, the state’s Centers of Innovation are a catalyst for growth and prosperity for businesses throughout Georgia.
