Visitor Information Centers

As the first points of contact with more than 16 million Georgia visitors each year, our 11 centers greet travelers with true southern hospitality.

  • Year round you can receive maps and literature on historical sites, activities, recreation areas and attractions.
  • Information Specialists can assist you with directions and give expert advice on things to see and do in Georgia.
  • Specialists will give you valuable discount coupons and be happy to assist with lodging reservations at Georgia hotels and campgrounds of your choice.
  • The Weather Channel is available to give you up-to-the-minute forecasts of weather conditions for your destination or back home.
  • In an effort to get current traffic conditions to travelers, GDOT has placed plasma screens in the VIC lobbies. This DOT-TV details any construction projects that might have lanes blocked along your route.

Please stop by any of our Georgia Visitor Information Centers and receive free maps, postcards, litter bags and a comprehensive Georgia travel guide.
