Map Guide of Appalachia
Through a partnership with the Appalachian Regional Commission, the
National Geographic Society created a 13-state Map Guide of Appalachia. Covering a region from New York to Mississippi, the Map Guide provides a striking visual representation of Appalachia's distinctive geography, culture and heritage. Destinations such as scenic hikes, diverse music venues, museums, and craft and artisan shops are included. There are over 356 sites on the map.
