Urban running venues like Atlanta’s Chastain Park, which includes a three-mile path that sees 250 joggers, dog-walkers, cyclists and rollerbladers each hour; and Piedmont Park, Atlanta's common ground since 1904, offer you in-town opportunities to enjoy your running routine while in the city.
Other Georgia running trails, where you’ll find the opportunity to push yourself, include the Columbus Riverwalk, a 15-mile hard-surfaced path along the scenic banks of the Chattahoochee River; the Stone Mountain Trail, an 18-mile trail extending from Georgia Institute of Technology to Stone Mountain Park; and the North Oconee River Greenway and Heritage Trail, which runs seven miles between Sandy Creek Park and the University of Georgia.
For a cross-country challenge, tackle the Berry College Viking Trail, a demanding run up Mt. Berry that takes you from the main campus up to the mountain campus. As you navigate this trail be on the look out for local wildlife including deer, swans, turkey and more.

From the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, the world’s largest 10K since 1980, to local community “fun runs” – take advantage of the pleasant climate and numerous running options Georgia offers all year long.
