Readers Pick Savannah as Top 10 Travel Destination
Honor Comes from Condé Nast Traveler
SAVANNAH, GA - The November 2007 issue of Condé Nast Traveler celebrates the 20th annual Readers' Choice Awards where Savannah was ranked 8th among U.S. Cities. The polls results are derived from the largest independent poll of consumers' preferences, the Readers' Choice Survey, second in size only to the U.S. Census. A record number of travelers, more than 28,000, voted this year.
Savannah was ranked 8th with 77.6 percent of the vote while San Francisco toped the list followed by New York (see complete list below). Destinations were chosen based on superior ratings for ambience, friendliness, culture, historic sites, restaurants, lodging and shopping.
