Heatcraft Expansion to Add Jobs to Tifton

ATLANTA, October 15, 2007 –– The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) announced today that Heatcraft Refrigeration Products will expand its Tifton facility, adding a significant number of new jobs and investing significant dollars and resources into the expansion.

“We applaud Heatcraft’s decision to expand in south Georgia,” said GDEcD Commissioner Ken Stewart. “The company’s experience here has shown it that Georgia’s workforce, logistics infrastructure and other business assets will continue to help it flourish in our state.”

Heatcraft Refrigeration Products LLC, is the U.S. operating unit of Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration, a division of Lennox International Inc. and is an international leader in providing commercial refrigeration solutions. The company will construct a 310,000-square-foot new building and has room for possible future expansion into an existing building. The Heatcraft plant in Tifton currently employs over 300 workers and the community is looking forward to the substantial increase in employment opportunities.

Michelle Shaw was the project manager for GDEcD.

“Heatcraft is a good corporate citizen of Tift County and is a partner in many community affairs,” said Cal McMillan, Chairman of the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce. “The jobs they are adding is great news and even better because they are an existing industry, which is the priority of our chamber. We're glad they saw fit to expand their operations in Tifton."

Lennox International Inc., through its subsidiaries, is a global leader in the heating, air conditioning and refrigeration markets. Lennox International stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “LII.”
