Information is disseminated in a variety of ways: travel guides, brochures, advertising, etc., but new technological advances are making it easier to stay fresh and up to date with what is happing in tourism around the state.
“Portable” is how travelers want their information. Advanced cell phone capabilities, iPods, virtual reality and more, are the wave of the future in communications. Technology driven components should be a part of all marketing plans. Podcasts, streaming on websites, audio walking tours, Geo-caching, online brochures, etc., are just a few of the techniques that keep tourism current and exciting.
