Statewide Coordinating Network

Statewide Coordinating Network

The Georgia Entrepreneur & Small Business Coordinating Network was created February 5, 2004 by Executive Order by Governor Sonny Perdue.

It is a multi-agency team, of both state and federal agencies charged to coordinate the state's entrepreneur and small business initiatives.

These initiatives include cross training, cross marketing, advocacy and service delivery efficiency. The Network sponsors the biennial Entrepreneur Summit (March 2 - 3, 2010) which provides continuing entrepreneur development education to Georgia’s community leaders and exposes them to best practices from youth development to innovative means to grow entrepreneur and small business development.

During the first two years of development, the Network met with entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout the state to gather information on needs and issues, which resulted in many initiatives including the OneGeorgia ESB Loan Guarantee Fund. This effort addresses the need for access to capital in rural areas.
