The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) is the main sales and marketing arm for the state. Its Global Commerce Division is charged with attracting new business investment, encouraging the expansion of existing industry and small businesses and locating new markets, domestic and foreign, for Georgia products.

Headquarters Atlanta
The GDEcD headquarters are located in Atlanta and is home to the Global Commerce Division which provides an elite staff of industry professionals who can provide site evaluation and selection assistance, access to a skilled workforce, business an financial resources, international markets, communities and the state's innovation infrastructure.

Northeast & Mid-Atlantic States 
Mary Douglass is Director of the Corporate Solutions Team which focuses on Corporate Headquarters, Data Centers, shared service/BPO and back office and call center operations.  The group also works with the financial and insurance industries considering Georgia.  Mary has been with the Department of Economic Development since July 1998 working with the statewide project management team.  Mary has located manufacturers and distribution centers for the state in addition to the industries in her current focus area.

West Coast
Mr. Pat Dinon is the Director for the Georgia Department of Economic Development West Coast Office. His office represents Georgia’s Business Enterprise Team.  Pat is available to meet with and assist companies with offices in the Western U.S./Canada Regions, who may be considering Georgia for expansion, relocation and/or investment. (Note: Pat can take "after hours" calls for potential clients living in the East, Midwest and Mountain time zones up to 6pm PT.)

 

Pat has worked as an executive in the transportation industry for 30 years.  He has held senior position in Europe and Asia with Weyerhaeuser, Westwood Shipping Lines, and most recently served as President, Sinotrans N.A.
