Statewide ESB Coordinating Network
Created February 5, 2004 by Executive Order by Governor Sonny Perdue, the Georgia Entrepreneur & Small Business Coordinating Network is a multi-agency, both state and federal, group charged to coordinate the state's entrepreneur and small business initiatives.
These initiatives include efforts such as cross training, cross marketing, advocacy and service delivery efficiency. The Network sponsors the biennial Entrepreneur Summit which provides continuing entrepreneur development education to Georgia’s community leaders and exposes them best practices from youth development to creative and innovative means to grow entrepreneur and small business development.
To facilitate this important work, the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) Commissioner, Ken Stewart, oversees the Entrepreneur & Small Business Office. This office is charged with elevating awareness of state resources, marketing and promoting these resources that include mentoring, regulations, supplier matching and entrepreneur & small business strategic planning.
