Director of Administration

John Moffatt 


John Moffatt

John Moffatt currently serves as Director of Administration for the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD). John oversees the Accounting, Budgeting, Human Resources and Procurement divisions. Also included is the responsibility for mail services, vehicle management and fixed assets. John has over 10 years of state government experience.

 

John previously served as Assistant Director of Administration for the Department where he oversaw the accounting and procurement divisions. John was also responsible for the maintenance of mail services, fleet management and fixed assets.

Prior to coming to GDEcD, John worked with the Georgia Department of Labor. John worked for the Internal Security Division before moving into the Accounting/Finance Division.

 

Originally from New Jersey, John graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Accounting. John received his master’s degree in Finance from Kennesaw State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia.

 

John is a member of the Association of Government Accountants, the Fiscal Management Council and participates in various Georgia Society of CPA training seminars. John has been involved with coaching various sports within his community for over 20 years.
