Rise Up

It's a big weekend for Georgia, as our Atlanta Falcons gear up to take on the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. You can feel the excitement in the air as many people are acknowledging #FalconsFriday throughout the state by wearing their best Atlanta Falcons' gear! Even Gov. Nathan Deal has accepted a friendly wager with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.
In addition to this being the game that potentially takes us to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1999, this will be the last game in our beloved Georgia Dome – as our new Mercedes-Benz Stadium is slated to open in 2018. In recent years, Georgia has had an extremely positive relationship with Mercedes-Benz USA. In 2015, not only did Mercedes-Benz USA announce their decision to relocate their headquarters to Atlanta, but that they were creating 800 jobs and investing $74 million into our city as well.

Atlanta's new Mercedes-Benz Stadium will also host the 2019 Super Bowl, which will be the third Super Bowl game played in Atlanta since 1994 and 2000. This presents an incredible opportunity to bring people throughout the nation to Explore Georgia and show them all we have to offer.

Georgia has risen as the number one state in the nation in which to do business, and we are rooting for the Falcons to Rise Up and make us the No. 1 state for football as well.
