While 99% of Georgia’s companies are considered small businesses (employing less than 500), they are anything but small. With more than 700,000 small businesses registered in the state, these companies contribute greatly to Georgia’s economy and are a big reason why we have been named America’s #1 State for Business 3 years in a row (Site Selection, 2015).
From small food processing companies to innovative tech startups, Georgia’s small businesses are thriving and growing—and we are gearing up to celebrate!
Governor Nathan Deal has declared the third week in February as Georgia Small Business Week. If you are a small business or want to share some love about your favorite small business, use #GASmallBiz on your social channels during the week of February 15-19th!
Along with local events promoting small businesses throughout the state, we also honor a select few as the year’s Small Business Rock Stars.
Each year, Georgia’s Small Business Rock Stars are selected as outstanding, unique and impactful small businesses in the state of Georgia. Whether they’ve innovated a new product or grown a niche segment of the marketplace, these small businesses showcase why Georgia is the best state for small business.
As we wait for the announcement of this year’s winners, let’s take a look back at the 2015 Rock Stars. Click each one to find out how they truly rock Georgia’s business landscape!
