Bloomingdale's Studio Services Department opens at Lenox Square Mall

Georgia’s film industry infrastructure has continued to grow year-over-year, with multiple studio announcements and more than 100 support companies opening in Georgia to assist the burgeoning film industry. Recently, Georgia has received another unique service company – the Bloomingdale’s Studio Services department at Lenox Square Mall. This is a great example of how companies and businesses are seeing the growth of the industry and are finding ways to help meet the needs of Georgia-lensed productions.

The Studio Services department at Bloomingdales will assist wardrobe and prop professionals with finding the various items needed for a film project. 

“These service companies– the soundstages, the lighting companies, the caterers, the camera houses, etc.–are not eligible to take advantage of the film tax credit, however, they have made substantial financial commitments in the state due to the level of film and television business here. The Studio Services department at Bloomingdales is another great result of Georgia’s film and television industries and its role in job creation.”

The retailer’s new department is on the third floor of its store at Lenox and will have stylists, wardrobe consultants, and personal shoppers to the film industry to pick celebrity and client wardrobes.

Along with the new Lenox Square location, Bloomingdale’s offers Studio Services on the West coast in its Beverly Center, Glendale, Santa Monica, and Sherman Oaks locations, as well as on the East coast in its 59th Street Flagship location in New York City. The newly-developed department will offer all of Bloomingdale’s Lenox Square assortments as well as special orders for items in other Bloomingdale’s locations.
