Spotlight On: Senoia

Recently The Credits.org published an article about cities and towns that have seen a huge tourism draw as a result of film and television productions. They of course included a great example – Senoia, Georgia.

Senoia was used in the hit AMC show “The Walking Dead” as the town of Woodbury. Since then the town has seen thousands of visitors coming to get their own piece of the zombie apocalypse.

The film industry helped bring a significant revitalization to Senoia. In 1980, there were five businesses in Senoia. Today, there are more than 46. The town is selling Walking Dead merchandise at a gift shop Downtown. Their coffee shop even started selling Zombie-themed coffee!

If you visit Senoia, make sure to go on the Atlanta Movie Tours “The Big Zombie Tour Part 2,” which takes you to the many Walking Dead sites.
