Pan African Film Festival Atlanta August 7 – 10, 2014

The Pan African Film Festival Atlanta begins Thursday, August 7, and runs through Sunday, August 10, 2014. Screenings of 55 films from across the world will be held at the Plaza Theater in Midtown; panels and workshops will be held at Erosol aka Department Store, 467 Edgewood Ave in Atlanta. The opening night film is “Supremacy,” starring Danny Glover. Visit the PAFF site to purchase tickets, or for information on panels or films.

Established in 1992 by Danny Glover, Ja’net DuBois (Good Times) and Ayuko Babu, The Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) is a non-profit 501(c)(b) corporation dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding among peoples of African descent. PAFF is dedicated to racial tolerance through the exhibition of film, art and creative expression.

For the past 16 years PAFF-ATL has put on a summer festival formerly presented by the National Black Arts Festival, exhibiting the best films from PAFF-LA supplemented by Atlanta submissions catering to the Atlanta audience. Both festivals feature special red carpet screenings and receptions as well as a variety of other special events.
