Starring Georgia as…Rio de Janeiro?
Georgia is probably asked to play another state or country more often than itself these days as film incentives have changed the nature of the industry. Whereas projects used to be location-driven, the savings afforded by our film production tax incentive programs have turned the eye of producers, and now they generally look for the best deals.
Georgia offers one of those great deals (with a credit of up to 30 percent of the money they spend in the state), and often stands in for other places. Georgia offers a plethora of diverse shooting locations including a big city, mountains, grasslands, beaches, small towns and much more.
