Bio International Convention 2012 Interviews Carol Henderson

The BIO Video Show Daily interviews GDEcD's Carol Henderson about the importance of the state of Georgia participating in the biotechnology industry's largest global event, the BIO International Convention.
Georgia had a significant presence at the convention due to its continued growth in the bioscience industry. Thanks to the partners that joined us in the Georgia Pavilion to showcase what our state has to offer: Arbor Pharmaceuticals, Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention, GeorgiaBIO, Georgia Innovation Crescent (including CIS Biotech, Celtaxsys, GeoVax and NorDiag), Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Quick Start, Emory University, Morehouse School of Medicine and QualTex Laboratories.

Baxter's recent decision to locate a new bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Georgia is just one more example of the type of healthcare and biotechnology companies that are choosing Georgia for its workforce, logistics and access to cutting-edge research and development. Along with Atlanta-based organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Carter Center, the state of Georgia plays a significant role in improving global health.
